Indonesian creator Noxa introduced this character in a short-form video on February 28, 2025. Its repeated name evokes the sound of a wooden kentongan used in some Indonesian communities to wake neighbors for sahur, the pre-dawn meal during Ramadan. The character draws on that waking custom; the custom is not a prayer signal.
